Isuzu Australia has supplemented the recent release of its new NMR models with the launch of an NMR 60/45-150 Tipper and NMR 60/45-150 Tri-Tipper,

With both available in AMT and manual transmissions, the NMR 60-150 models offer additional 500kg payload over the previous NLR 55-150 Tipper models.

Featuring the 4JJ1-TCS Isuzu engine, rated at 150 PS (110 kW) at 2,800 rpm and 375 Nm at 1,600–2,800 rpm, the NMR Tipper models are available at 6,000 kg gross vehicle mass (GVM) and with an optional de-rate of 4,500 kg GVM for car licence drivers.

"The unique Tri-Tipper was a hit when we first released the NLR variant of this model in 2017, and we’ve introduced the 6-tonne GVM version of the Tri-Tipper and the standard Tipper variant in response to market demands for a light-duty tipper with increased payload capacity," Isuzu Australia national sales manager Les Spaltman says.

The NMR Tippers also include electronic stability control (IESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), anti-skid regulator (ASR), driver and passenger airbags and hill-start assist (HSA) for manual models.

They also come standard with rope rails, auto-release body lockdown hook and two-way tailgate, and to top it off, the truck and tipper body are covered by the manufacturer’s three-year warranty.

Both the NMR Tipper and Tri-Tipper models are available with Isuzu’s torque-converter automated manual transmission (TC-AMT) and ShinMaywa steel tipping body.

Cubic capacity for both models is 2.0 cubic metres, while the innovative Tri-Tipper features the ability to tip the load to the rear, left or right.

"The Tri-Tipper had immediate appeal when we first released it a couple of years ago and we know that the additional capacity of the NMR cab chassis opens this great model up to even more operators," Spaltman says.

"The standard NMR Tipper also holds great appeal across the market with the combination of payload, efficiency and manoeuvrability with its narrow-cab footprint.

"We’re looking forward to finding homes for these super-productive models over the coming months."
