Tecpro has unveiled a new and improved version of its V22 Dust Controller.
The company says the new model has a number of improvements over its previous model, including a reduced unit size for easier transportation. The V22 also has three separate water consumption rates and fan speeds that can adjust the spray according to wind and dust conditions.
Like the previous model, the V22 is able to use salt or saline water without the risk of rapidly corroding components. The unit is mobile and uses water sourced via water truck or submersible pump in a dam.
Tecpro says the V22 is the only dust suppression unit available in Australia capable of using saltwater.
The V22 is ideally suited to dust suppression over large areas such as open cut mines, ship loading facilities, recycling and landfill sites. The unit has a water throw range of around 80 metres with 90 per cent saturation without wind assistance.
The V22 nozzle head is incorporated into the rotating fan, and together with the outer nozzle ring generates a fine atomised mist which binds the dust particles to prevent them from spreading.
Noise levels are low on the V22, with the unit emitting just 70dBa at 20 metres.
