Tadano unveils new truck crane series

Tadano has taken the wraps off a new truck crane series – the GT-750EL, GT-600EL and GT-300EL – designed for safety, durability, high lifting performance and the ability to drive on rough roads and at high speeds on highways

The GT-300EL has a 30-tonne maximum lifting capacity and a strong and light high-tensile steel rounded 34m boom, while the GT-600EL measures in at 60 tonnes/43m and the GT-750EL at 75 tonnes/47m. Load radii are 32m, 34m and 40m, respectively.

Extra reach is provided by a 2-stage (9m/14.3m, 8.5m/14m) under-slung jib, which Tadano says makes installation in narrow spaces simple and extends the lifting heights to 48m, 57.3m and 61.2m, and the load radii to 40m, 44m and 48m.

“The new GT-750EL, GT-600EL, and GT-300EL have new carriers that provide drivability on rough road and high-speed travel on highways,” Tadano says.

“They are equipped with leaf suspensions in front and rubber mounted suspensions, newly developed in collaboration with Hendrickson, in the rear.”

The company says it performed a number of tests for high-speed travel and durability on rough roads and found the cranes — which have a new cab and are equipped with cruise control and automatic transmission – to be comfortable to drive.

The GT-750EL, GT-600EL, and GT-300EL come equipped with Tadano’s fuel monitoring system, an Eco-Mode to reduce fuel consumption when the crane is being operated, and Positive Control, which reduces fuel consumption when the crane is on standby.

The machines come with Tadano’s HELLO-NET telematics system), which allows users to monitor their crane activity, work history, machine position data, and maintenance information with computers and mobile devices.

The GT-600EL and GT-750EL also come with a new Smart Chart system.

“With conventional cranes, outriggers extended to their maximum length provide uniform, circular rated load capacity footprints over 360БЛ of slewing angle,” Tadano says.

“However, with our newly developed Smart Chart safety device and control system, the crane can achieve a square-shaped rated load capacity footprint, with extended ‘corners’ over the rear outriggers that increases the load radius depending on the degree to which the outriggers are extended.”
