  • Dual speakers (one in the speaker microphone and one in the base unit)
  • External speaker jack at the rear the head unit to connect another speaker
  • UHF & scanner in one

Uniden says the fully rugged UH9050 has been designed for Australian conditions and is suitable for any vehicle type. The UHF CB radio unit is DIN-sized (industry standard size for a car stereo) and features a large backlit LCD display.

The UH9050 radio has a number of modern additions to ensure long haul or remote drivers including Uniden’s Smart Mic and Master Scan features.

Smart Mic is integrated into the heavy-duty microphone and allows users to switch between 100 user-programmed channels, the voice enhancer, call tone and the selective calling (Selcall) function.

With the Master Scan feature, users can communicate on a group of channels simultaneously. If the current channel is interrupted by users outside the group, all radios in the group will automatically switch to a new clear channel.

Another new feature on the UH9050 is Triple Watch. This allows users to monitor two channels plus a standby channel to ensure transmissions aren’t missed. The radio unit has the ability to record and replay up to one minute of recently received signals.

The UH9050 radio has dual speakers in the head unit and a speaker microphone with the option of an additional speaker connecting to the rear of the unit.

The built-in voice enhancer allows the UH9050 to choose different audio level settings (normal, bass, midrange and high) to provide a natural voice enhancer for clarity.

On the more secure end, businesses can conduct private communications via the voice scramble function. This prevents anybody without specialist scrambling equipment from understanding the conversation.

Uniden UH9050 UHF CB radio price: $399.95
