“With a lateral reach of 35m, jobs can be completed at a height of 102.5m with a basket load of 200kg,” Palfinger says. “The maximum nominal load in the basket is 600kg.”
The company says that among the standout features of the P 1000 access platform – which is a further development of the WT 1000 – are two new assistance systems to support the driver: ADAS Hands Free and Collision Protection.
The ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) frees platform drivers from having to constantly hold the joystick when they are moving the platform, allowing them to perform other activities at the same time.
The Collision Protection function prevents damage by means of anti-collision sensors, which act like parking sensors on a car and emit a warning sound before a collision.
The platform’s deployment width has been reduced by 60cm compared with the previous model. Palfinger says it still achieves the same performance but makes the chassis of the P 1000 more flexible in situations where space is limited.
“The key aspect is the even weight distribution across the axles,” it says. “With a total weight of less than 60 tonnes, the P 1000 also offers a remarkable loading capacity thanks to its power and lifting capacity.”
