Makinex shows off Powered Hand Truck PHT-140

The Makinex Powered Hand Truck PHT-140 was one of the smallest and simplest machines on display at last weekend’s Diesel, Dirt & Turf Expo in Penrith, NSW, but it was attracting a fair share of attention.

Using a lifting arm powered by a 12-volt, 25-Amp linear actuator, the materials handler enables one person to safely lift, shift and load small equipment or bulky goods weighing up to 140kg.

Designed for use in workshops, warehouses, factories, depots, distribution companies and hire and rental yards, the PHT-140 is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. After use it can be folded down flat for easy transport and storage.

Makinex’s Slade Duke showed us how easy the unit is to operate —the lifting arm reach is controlled by the user lifting or lowering the handles and arm height is controlled via a simple thumb switch.

It comes with a hook attachment as standard, and a fork attachment for lifting, moving and loading small pallets and skids is sold separately.
