CP rolls out new impact wrenches

Chicago Pneumatic's new impact wrenches feature a revolutionary design for a better grip and higher efficiency.

Power tool specialist Chicago Pneumatic has released new angle impact wrenches with unique angle designs allowing for work in confined spaces.

The company says the new tools – the CP7727 with a 3/8 inch square drive and CP7737 with a ½ inch square drive; are compact, lightweight, and powerful enough to set new levels of performance.

Chicago Pneumatic says the user-friendly angle wrenches feature a revolutionary design compared to traditional impact wrenches where the motor is installed in the head of the tool instead of in the handle which often results in a bulky and uncomfortable grip.

By having the motor at the head of the impact wrench, Chicago Pneumatic ensures users get maximum torque directly at the point of impact as well as a less bulky, more comfortable grip.

Combined with a jumbo hammer and direct drive mechanism, Chicago Pneumatic says the CP7727/37 wrenches are better balanced, more robust and more efficient on the job.

Measuring 9.58 inches in length and 3.46 inches in height, both wrenches allow easy access to areas where manoeuvrability with a standard tool would be difficult, such as engine compartments or under vehicles.

The CP7727 provides 250Nm of maximum torque in reverse while the CP7737 is capable of providing 300Nm maximum torque in reverse.

Their weight of 1.12kg means users can work for longer periods of time without feeling fatigue.
