Enerpac launches advanced SL400 hydraulic gantry crane

The new Enerpac SL400 hydraulic gantry crane.

Enerpac has introduced the three-stage SL400 hydraulic gantry crane, which can lift up to 9 metres at the top of the third stage and can handle up to 408 tonnes at the top of the second stage.

The crane, which is the company’s highest capacity bare cylinder gantry, complies with the stringent safety requirements set by ASME B30.1-2015.

Each gantry is tested to 120 percent of capacity at full extension and witness tested by Lloyds, a qualified third party organisation. The SL400 is also CE compliant.

“Providing a more advanced solution than standard lifting systems, the SL400 hydraulic gantry offers unique features such as a wireless control system and integrated self-propelled drive system,” Enerpac’s Peter Crisci says.

“These features, combined with safe, reliable performance, allow our customers to satisfy their complicated lifting applications.”

The SL400’s control system allows users to operate the lift locally at each leg or gain unobstructed views of the load through the use of the Intellilift remote control system.

Intellilift provides the operator with information about the stroke, lift and load per unit and it automatically corrects any unsynchronised motion of the individual units.

Automatic synchronisation of lifting is accurate to within 250mm and travel to 150mm.

The SL400 also features a sturdy base frame that can withstand a variety of environmental conditions, and an optional powered side shift for easy operation.

Self-contained hydraulics enable easier setup and eliminate the trip hazards associated with hydraulic hoses, while self-propelled wheels provides smooth, continuous, synchronised travel.
