One of the standout products on show at last week’s ACE Expo in Melbourne was the Jekko SPX312, a mini crawler crane that can fit through a standard doorway and extend from 2.2 metres to 7.6 metres.
Melbourne-based 600 Cranes Australasia was showing off the Jekko range of cranes, which are designed to be adapted to lift solutions in restricted and confined working areas.
The cranes’ low weight allows for easy transportation, and they can operate on uneven surfaces or tiled environments, the company says.
The SPX312 can angle up to 75 degrees, rotate through 330 degrees and lift a maximum of 1.2 tonnes.
“This crane is powered by a 10.4-horsepower (7.6kW) petrol engine, but can also be hooked up to an external power pack,” 600 Cranes Victorian Sales manager Lance Chesterfield says, adding that “another great feature is the tracks are expandable” from 770mm to 1,060mm.
