Sennebogen releases new 50-tonne crawler crane

Sennebogen's new 50-tonne 653 telescopic crawler crane is now available in Australia.

International crane manufacturer Sennebogen has introduced its 653 telescopic crawler crane featuring a 50-tonne safe working load and Full Power Boom in Australia.

Sennebogen says the machine, which is powered by a Tier 4 final emission standards compliant 173hp diesel engine is ideal for structural engineering and bridge construction purposes.

It also comes with two hydraulically driven 50 kN winches, with winching speeds of up to 115 m/min.

A prominent feature of the machine is the Sennebogen Full-Power Boom which can be continuously extended and retracted over a length of 30.4m. Sennebogen says the system is highly robust, maintenance-free and is always friction-locked. A flick of the joystick in the cab easily and quickly controls the boom length.

The fly boom extends the maximum reach height to 43.4 m.

Sennebogen says the crawler undercarriage of the 653 and the machine’s ability to operate on inclines of up to four degrees make it suitable for work on construction sites both big and small as well as on rough terrains.

At 3m wide, the extendable crawler tracks save space during transport and can be extended out up to 4.5 m width when in use. The 5.34 m long crawler tracks with optional track shoes up to 800 mm wide ensure low ground pressure and optimal stability.

The 653 features Sennebogen’s Maxcab comfort cab with automatic air-conditioning and a spring-cushioned seat for optimal operator comfort.  The cab can be tilted up to 15 degrees.

A standard camera system and an optional hydraulic cab elevator on the crane offer great visibility.

Sennebogen has installed its Sencon control and diagnostics system on the 653, which it says is intuitive and offers a clear presentation of all operating parameters. In addition, it is also able to process error messages quickly and monitor the load moment limitation system.

Central maintenance and lubrication points are conveniently placed for easy access during maintenance and daily servicing.

The Sennebogen range of cranes is distributed in Australia by Pacific Materials Handling.
