Materials handling specialist Jungheinrich’s new ETR pantograph reach truck series, which the brand claims to feature the highest lift speed on the market has arrived in Australia.

New Jungheinrich reach truck range offers highest lift speed in industry
The Jungheinrich ETR 340 is a single deep reach truck with a capacity of 1.8 tonnes.

Following the launch of the series in North America last year, the ETR 340, ETR 345 and ETR 335D reach trucks are now available in the country via NTP Forklifts.

The series has been designed in Houston, Texas in the United States specifically for the American market as well as the APAC region and Middle East.

Jungheinrich has fitted a powerful 36-volt three-phase AC motor on the trucks for fast acceleration and speeds of almost 13 kilometres per hour.

"Together with the highest lifting speed on the current reach truck market of 0.8 metres per second, this truck achieves an outstanding level of productivity," Jungheinrich head of reach truck product management Joachim Schier says.

The pantograph style range features two single deep models – the ETR 340 with a capacity of 1.8 tonnes and ETR 345 with a capacity of 2 tonnes; as well as a double deep variant-the ETR 335D with a capacity of 1.6 tonnes.

Jungheinrich also claims the ETR series reach trucks can achieve 10 per cent higher throughput compared to other models on the market.

Another feature of the brand new line-up is its high residual lifting capacity, which is approximately 1000kg at lift heights of over 10m.

The ETR 335D is able to hold 1200kg up to 10m and is capable of lifting 1360kg at 11.3m, which Jungheinrich says is one of the highest double deep capacity in the market.

Jungheinrich’s patented ProTrac and Curve Control systems, which come standard on all ETR reach trucks, gives operators a smooth and stable drive.
