Hyundai to unveil new technology and machinery at CeMAT 2015

Hyundai will run live demonstrations of its Intelligent Monitoring System (HIMS) at its stand at the upcoming CeMAT 2015 expo in Sydney.

Hyundai Forklifts Australia (HFA) will be launching a series of new products including its Intelligent Monitoring System and 9-series forklifts at the upcoming CeMAT 2015 in Sydney.

The Hyundai Intelligent Monitoring System (HIMS) is a fleet management system designed to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs by ensuring optimal forklift utilisation and performance; as well as ongoing fleet safety ad compliance.

HIMS’ cloud-based reporting provides data on fleet utilisation; breakdown and response times; equipment downtime and OH&S incidents to allow departments involved to keep on top of their forklift fleet operations.

HIMS can also help streamline maintenance scheduling and equipment repairs.

The HIMS hardware is installed on every piece of fleet equipment to enable reporting on all vehicle activity including meter reporting on seat, traction and lift hours and impact detection via site and vehicle-type calibrated impact sensors.

Some of the HIMS plug and play options include:

  • Driver access control – such as a pin code keypad, swipe card reader or end user customer specific site card access.
  • Display screens – used for start-up checklist questions and responses or messaging a driver with unique instructions. A wide range of displays are available including freezer capable screens that are able to withstand temperatures as low as -40 degrees.
  • GPS- equipment location and utilising GPS geo-fence zones to activate speed zone switching or pedestrian warning systems.

As HIMS utilises cell or mobile-based technology, it eliminates the need for additional infrastructure or the involvement of the IT department for set up.

In addition to HIMS, HFA will also introduce its new 9-series electric and diesel forklifts at CeMAT 2015.

According to HFA, the new range boasts spacious operator cabins and a wider field view for increased operator comfort and productivity. In addition, it also delivers enhanced safety features such as anti-rollback and an Operator Presence Sensing System (OPSS).

HFA will be demonstrating the HIMS and have the new 9-series on display at its stand at F5 at the upcoming CeMAT 2015 expo.

CeMAT is the world’s leading fair on intralogistics and materials handling and will be held in Australia for the very first time this year.

It will be held at the Sydney Olympic Park from May 7 to 9. Find out more at CeMAT Australia’s website
