The company says the new Tarmac Boa boots, which exceed both national and international safety standards, have carbon fibre toe caps, making them 50 percent lighter than steel-cap boots and stronger under compression loads.
They also feature ‘ArmorTek’ toe bumper and heel counter guards which are lighter than a rubber bump cap and three times more abrasion resistant.
"Additionally, the innovative Boa Closure System offers on-and-off convenience like never before," Wolverine says. "A simple turn of a knob allows for fast, hassle-free adjustments."
Other features of the Tarmac Boa are full-grain leather uppers, reflective EVA midsoles, 300 degree heat resistant outer soles and padded collars.
Available in stores around Australia from late February, the wheat-coloured Tarmac Boas have a boot height of six inches (cm), are available in US sizes 7-13 and have a recommended retail price of $220.
