Mitsubishi unveils new reach truck line-up

MItsubishi Forklifts designed its RBF-CA reach truck range is built on simplicity without compromising on productivity.

Mitsubishi Forklift’s RBF-CA reach truck range which promises a fuss-free operation and high productivity is now available in the country via the brand's exclusive Australian distributor, MLA Holdings.

The range is available in three models with a maximum lift height of 10m and capacity ranging from 1.4 to 2 tonnes.

Acccording to MLA Holdings national sales and marketing manager Gary Hodge, the RBF-CA reach trucks are built on simplicity without compromising on performance.

“MLA is very pleased that we are now able to offer this product to the Australian market.”

Hydraulics, travelling, and power steering functions on the RBF range have been integrated into one AC control system, which Mitsubishi says makes the truck much smoother to operate.

The free lift cylinder is mounted diagonally and away from the mast symmetry, enhancing visibility and forward view of the trucks.

Controls have been laid out ergonomically to help operators drive with ease and focus on the task at hand. The 360 degree steering gives the trucks a tight turning radius, making it ideal for work in environments with space limitations such as warehouses.

Mitsubishi also had operator safety in mind when designing the RBF-CA range by incorporating a travel-speed sensitive lift speed control. When an operator exceeds a set travel speed, lift and rotation speeds are automatically slowed down to avoid mishaps.

An automatic power-off function which switches the machine off 15 minutes after the truck is left idle helps operators reduce power consumption as well as improve safety in the warehouse.
