The Aramex branding

Fastway Couriers is in the process of rebranding to Aramex across Australia and New Zealand, marking the final milestone of the 2016 acquisition by the latter.

The Dubai-based logistics services company purchased New Zealand-founded delivery service in Australia and New Zealand in January 2016 for $117 million.

The rollout of the Aramex brand will span the Australian network of 27 regional franchisees and more than 800 franchise partners, as well as the New Zealand network of 18 regional franchisees and 280-plus franchise partners.

"We are combining our local customer service with a fresh new look and global mindset with access to even more shipping destinations," Fastway Couriers Australia chief executive Peter Lipinski says.

"The rebrand represents a powerful opportunity for our local franchise operators, and for the many Australian businesses looking to capitalise on global trends in online retail."

The rebrand is set for completion by early 2020.

"It’s a big exercise and we’re putting a lot of effort into making the change as easy as possible for our franchisee partners and their customers," Lipinski says.

"We’ll still be local franchisees, in local regions, and this is very important to us as local customer service is in our DNA but we are also part of Aramex, a global leader in logistics and that brings many benefits."

"This is an exciting evolution for our brand, our business, our franchise partners and our customers which strengthens our shared ability to capture more of the rapidly growing ecommerce market."
