Mainfreight

Logistics company Mainfreight recently opened a new transport branch in Toowoomba, Queensland, expanding its reach into regional Australia.

Located on a main arterial on the western edge of Toowoomba, the facility comprises a 1,500-square-metre warehouse with drive-through access and hardstand, servicing areas such as Dalby, Warwick and Kingaroy.

The team currently consists of two team members and two owner drivers, soon to be three, the company says.

Mainfreight notes its range of services from Toowoomba includes: forkliftable B2B freight; day definite express services to and from any postcode in Australia; full truck loads (FTL); dangerous goods transport (Chemcouriers); intra and interstate freight; online track and trace visibility; full suite of air & ocean, wharf cartage, warehousing and domestic transport services.

"Our line-haul units move freight into the new depot daily and our Toowoomba owner drivers are picking up and delivering freight throughout the region," the company tells stakeholders.

"As an exporting region, local industries rely on the distribution of product to meet the growing demand from domestic and overseas markets.

"From our new branch in Toowoomba, your products are controlled through our comprehensive local and global network of purpose built facilities and delivered by our owner drivers.

"Our service is supported by a freight management technology suite that reduces workload in all areas of your business."

The New Zealand company now has around 55 branches throughout Australia and more than 250 worldwide.
