Facilities at the new premises, which are located in Paget, South Mackay, between Crown’s Townsville and Brisbane branches, include a service-and-spares centre and a showroom with a selection of new, second-hand and rental Crown lift trucks.

Crown says it also has a supply of high-quality racking and shelving available at the branch.

The facility will serve as a base for two full-time mobile service technicians, who will maintain customers’ fleets in areas as far as Proserpine/Airlie Beach, Sarina and the Moranbah mining region.

Crown managing director Greg Simmonds says the new dealership is part of the company’s push to support regional growth.

“Crown has been forging stronger partnerships with customers such as Bunnings Warehouse, Coles and Woolworths through our recent expansion to regional areas, including Cairns, Toowoomba, Bunbury and Orange,” Simmonds says.

“Our expansion has also paid dividends with the numerous mining and agriculture customers we’ve partnered with since we began this expansion nationwide.

“The addition of the Mackay dealership is a logical step, and we’re looking forward to sharing our service and lift truck technology with customers of all types around the region,” he says.
