Dutch company XSPlatforms, which specialises in occupational safety solutions for those working at heights, has announced it is to begin operations in Australia in the first half of 2015, opening an office Down Under as part of a round of global expansion that includes India, China and Kuwait.

XSPlatforms’ range of products includes suspended platform systems customised for individual building sites. The company also manufactures aluminium scaffolding systems that it says are designed to be durable and easy to transport, while also appearing neat and stylish from the outside.

Fall protection is another of XSPlatforms’ core product areas, consisting of a range of anchor points, steel cable rails and other temporary safety measures for working at heights or on roof edges. XSPlatforms says it can also supply entire custom building façade management systems designed to fit seamlessly around existing architecture.

Aside from manufacturing physical height safety products, XSPlatforms also employs experts to train workers in the proper use of height safety equipment, as well as conduct height risk assessments on buildings or work sites.

The company’s new branches bring the total number to 14 globally, reflecting increasing demand for XSPlatform’s products.

“More and more frequently, we are requested by contractors, consultants, architects and project developers worldwide to deliver our safety solutions for their projects,” CEO Geert Cox says. “With our new offices we will be able to meet this growing demand and give an even better and more localised service to clients in these areas.”
