Merlo president attends RightQuip dealership opening

RightQuip MD Triston Smith is congratulated by Merlo President Amilcare Merlo.

The founder and president of telehandler manufacturer Merlo SpA Industria Metalmeccanica, Amilcare Merlo, has attended the opening of RightQuip’s new, state-of-the-art dealership at Emu Plains, Sydney.

RightQuip has signed a five-year deal for the new head office, sales yard and refurbishment facility. The new site includes more than an acre of hardstand and is fitted out with a machinery spray booth, wash bay and a large overhead crane.

“We’ve enjoyed a great relationship with Merlo for many years and the strength of that relationship has never been more evident than when Mr Merlo joined us to celebrate our new premises,” RightQuip Managing Director Triston Smith says.

“The move is a big step for us and we are honoured to have one of our great business partners here in Australia to celebrate with us.”

RightQuip was the original sales depot for Merlo telehandlers in Australia and has continued its partnership with Merlo as the business has grown. In fact, the two companies have just signed a three-year supplier agreement. Smith says he confidently recommends Merlos and the machines have always delivered for customers.

“The next step for RightQuip is to take our already strong client service offering to the next level,” he adds. “The state-of the-art facility we have moved into will allow us to do that.”
