Demag announces Townsville facility
Demag has opened up a new facility in Townsville to respond to an expanding customer base and demands.

The facility, located in Mt Saint John, Townsville will assist its current base in Mackay, North Queensland in providing customer service and spare parts to Demag’s Queensland client base.

Demag Cranes and Components Managing Director Joerg Stojan says the office is centrally located to facilitate quick repsonses to customers which is essential in today’s overhead crane and lifting markets.

"This opening of a new facility by Demag Cranes and Components is a clear sign that the expanding markets of Townsville and the surrounding regions as growth areas are correct," he says.

"This should be seen as a supporting message for local industry that an organisation such as Demag Cranes and Components is here to stay and support local businesses."

Demag Cranes is a sub brand of construction equipment company Terex.

The company, who celebrated its 50th anniversary in Australia last year, provides solutions to material handling and material flow problems in Australia.

Some of the products it manufactures and distributes include cranes, crane components, electric chain hoists, overhead travelling cranes and wheel block systems.
