Toyota sets up shops in Darwin and Townsville

TMHA Darwin's branch ready for business

Toyota Materials Handling Australia (TMHA) has established direct presences in both towns in a bid to increase its customer support capability and confirm the company’s commitment to both regions.

The new branches are set to operate from early April and will be offering the full Toyota Materials Handling range of Toyota, BT Lift Truck and Raymond forklift products, as well as Toyota’s Huski skid-steer loader range.

TMHA’s new Darwin branch is located at 20 Mander Road, Holtze while the new Townsville facility is located at 13 Reward Court, Bohle.

Toyota forklifts were previously distributed and serviced in both regions by independent dealers.

TMHA Branch Operations General Manager Cameron Paxton says forklift and earthmoving customers in the areas will now have access to the factory-backed technicians trained to the highest skill in the industry as well as Toyota’s national network of factory-owned branches and resources.

“The move to a factory owned branch is consistent with our strategy to deal directly with customers,” he says.

“We will now be able to offer direct service in Darwin and Townsville and better access to our national stock of equipment, parts and short-term rental units.

“Our customers will now be able to engage directly with representatives from the factories, creating a better value proposition.”
