Lifting equipment brand Genie has introduced a new scissor lift, the GS-4069 DC for outdoor and rough terrain applications.
According to Genie, the new equipment features increased
platform space and lifting capacity and is suitable for use on
uneven ground, roadside kerbing and slippery ground.
The new model is available in 26ft, 33ft and 40ft heights.
Genie Australia General Manager Brad Lawrence says the new
machine is a win-win on the work site.
“We have found the new features on the Genie GS-4069 DC makes
this model in high demand in the Australian workplace,” he
says.
The active oscillating axle is designed so that all wheels
remain on the ground to deliver superior traction even on
undulating surfaces. Genie explains the feature is standard on all
models and adds to the versatility of each unit, making the Genie
69 DC series an all-rounded range to cater to both indoor and
outdoor applications.
Terex AWP engineers have opted for brushless AC drive motors to
power these new units, which require very little maintenance and
have the added benefit of running cooler and cleaner than previous
models. Genie adds the AC motors offer improved battery efficiency,
so they deliver more work hours between charge cycles.
Auto-levelling outriggers provide the lift with great levelling
capabilities, which Genie says is a feature rarely seen on
non-diesel scissor lifts.
The outriggers can simultaneously be activated to level the unit
with the touch of a few buttons.
