Atlas Copco Hilight H6+

Atlas Copco’s new 8m LED lighting tower offers better lighting coverage with lower operating costs and reduced noise levels, the company says.

At full strength, the floodlights can light up around 6,000 square metres, though the unit also has a dimming function to offer the right luminosity at each moment.

Made from medium-density polyethylene, the unit’s HardHat body is designed to resist both low and high temperatures and to be resistant to corrosion and cracks.

The lighting tower is also equipped with a heavy-duty filtration system, extending its service interval to 600 hours, and comes with an adjustable tow bar that enables it to be used while towing vans, trucks and pick-ups.

TFH Hire Surveillance Cameras

TFH Hire had a variety of its available products on display at the Civil Construction Field Days, but it was the solar-powered portable surveillance camera unit that caught our eye.

Now available for hire across the country, the cameras can read number plates up to 150m away, including with infared for night time viewing, and can rotate a full 360 degrees.

From 4m high, the cameras also record all motion that takes place, with options to sound an alarm or send email and push notifications to an operator when movement is detected.

The cameras can be installed by one person in roughly 20 minutes, and can be placed on the ground rather than requiring that any holes be dug.

Steprite safety access platforms

Two models within Steprite’s range of safety access platforms, which can be used for construction jobs, mining maintenance and many other locations, were on display.

The platforms begin at a 50cm platform height and increase in 25cm intervals to a maximum height of 3m.

Concealed C-section fixings, anti-slip stairs, large and stable feet, a 915mm fully-welded handrail and an inward-opening lockable safety gate are among the features of all Steprite models.

Upgrades for mine specifications are available, while another optional upgrade adds lockable swivel wheels as opposed to the ‘wheelbarrow-style’ method of easy-use lifting handles and two fixed wheels.

Clark S25L Forklift

Across town at the Brisbane Truck Show, the LPG-fuelled Clark S25L forklift offers what Clark says is one of the latest advances in internal combustion trucks.

With features including an interactive LCD dashboard, a load scale and the on-board reporting of operator controlled functions; the S25L has a load capacity of 2,500kg and a rated engine output of 52.4 kW.

The forklift also has standard safety features including speed limit control, an automatically applied parking brake and LED lights as well as a back-up alarm.

Kärcher HDS 13/20-4 S

The most powerful hot water high-pressure cleaner in Kärcher’s lineup has a water flow rate of up to 22 litres per minute – allowing the operator to carry out a two-spray lance operation that makes tasks quicker and easier.

With a range of innovative equipment features, like the eco!efficiency mode, service switch for water hardness regulation, turbo blower, precise cleaning agent dosing unit, optimised burner engineering, high pump efficiency and patented nozzle technology, the machine delivers outstanding results.

Another highlight is the 25 litre fuel tank and the large LED display on which the filling levels of fuel and cleaning agent, as well as information on system care, can be checked easily at any time.

Loadmac 825 Super Reach Forklift

The truck mounted forklift offers superior reach and stability as well as a genuine one-side offload, multi-directional steering option – meaning it can reach the full width of a trailer bed.

The forklift has a 49hp Yanmar engine, with a 2.5 tonne lifting capacity, three drive wheels and with mast heights of either 3.1 or 3.6m.

The unit has a compact design, with only a 1350mm overhang, as well as ergonomic controls, multi-directional steering, lockable fuel filler caps and rustproofing throughout.

Both the Loadmac 825 and the Loadmac 225 ultra-light forklift are available in Australia through Sammut Agricultural Machinery.
