Now Buildings is a family owned Australian company with over 40 years’ combined experience in supplying wholesale sheds directly to trade, businesses and farmers.

The company has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on research into improving their designs and looking at better and faster ways to assemble their sheds.

Although traditionally many sheds have three sides closed and one side open with pillars inside to support the roof, Now Buildings have determined that their sheds could be built without pillars and without the usual 45-degree knee braces in the corners on most sheds, allowing for wider gable access. This would provide additional space for machinery and allow for larger volumes of hay and other materials to be stacked. It would also allow for wider openings.

“All farm machines are getting wider and higher,” said Mr Nick Walker, National Product Development Manager of Now Buildings. “We also had to find ways to improve connection systems, so we would not have knee braces. So, we developed a unique double bracketing system.”

“We also use only the best quality Australian steel from BlueScope Steel,” Mr Walker said.

Many Australians prefer to support Australian products from Australian companies, but sometimes a claim of “Australian made” may not mean that the components of the product are all produced in Australia, only that the product itself was manufactured in Australia.

Some local shed suppliers use imported steel to reduce cost, however this is false economy as the imported steel is not as strong as the Australian product, meaning that the integrity of the shed is jeopardised.

Mr Walker said the decision to buy All Australian was down to what will last in the long term.

“Australian sheds must contend with harsh conditions, so it’s also important the product you decide on will withstand the elements, including the coating. If coating protection hasn’t been tested and developed, the coating will crack,” he said.

BlueScope’s Colorbond Steel has more than 30 years of testing behind its development, with testing sites in Rockhampton in Queensland, where the roof temperature can reach over 60 degrees, and Bellambi in New South Wales, which is a corrosive marine environment.

All materials in Now Buildings’ sheds are backed by BlueScope’s warranty of up to 25 years. All shed kits come with full site-specific engineering, extensive plans and construction support. Sheds may be collected from one of Now Buildings’ many depots nationwide or delivery is also available in most areas. If you are unable to build the shed yourself, Now Buildings can refer you to a network of experienced independent contractors across the state that they highly recommend.

As Australia’s leading wholesale shed company, Now Buildings guarantees all their customers exceptional service throughout the whole process from the time of your enquiry until your shed is completed.
