Bravi LUI 460 EWP arrives at Latrobe Valley Forklifts

Toyota Material Handling Australia’s service agent for the Gippsland region, Latrobe Valley Forklifts, has introduced a new product line in its rental fleet, the Bravi LUI 460 elevated work platform (EWP).

Latrobe Valley Forklifts is a family owned business that has been a TMHA agent since 2005, three years after it was founded by Rob and Kelly Mustoe in 2002.

Rob says he expects the new models to be popular with contractor in the Gippsland region, praising it manoeuvrability and saying it’s better than other EWPs he has encountered.

“We see the Bravi EWPs being very popular with local contractors – electricians, plumbers and maintenance mechanics,” he says.

“I have already had interest from a lead-light window maker who needs a work platform to access church windows.

“The 2.5-tonne payload Toyota counterbalance forklifts make up the majority of the rental fleet, with a variety of mast specifications and features such as windscreens to meet all the OH&S requirements in the power stations.”

Four models of Bravi EWPs will be available from TMHA:

  • The Sprint, with a 90kg material load capacity and platform height of 3350mm
  • The Leonardo HD, with a 180kg platform capacity and platform height of 2900mm
  • The Lui 460, with a 280kg platform capacity and platform height of 4620mm.

TMHA expects the Sprint to be the flagship seller of the Bravi range of platforms, as it appeals to both large retail operations and commercial maintenance operations.

Bravi has altered the specs of its platforms, at the request of TMHA, to better suit the Australian market.

One of these changes is a safety shutoff which stops the hydraulic system if the safety gate is closed, as well as an operator platform service lock, and a recess added to the cover to enable it to be used for storage.

Toyota Material Handling Victoria area sales manager Scott Bocksett says Latrobe Valley Forklifts covers a large part of Victoria and is valuable to Toyota as a service agent.

“Rob and Kelly and their team offer the complete TMHA range of equipment from the Toyota, BT Lift Truck and Raymond brands, as well as Toyota Huski skid-steer loaders and now the Bravi elevated work platforms,” he says.
