Crown forklifts are providing reliable lifting power to one of Australia’s leading bodybuilding supplements suppliers, Superior Supplements.
The company uses Crown equipment to operate its warehouse and meet growing customer demands, just as it has done for the last decade.
Superior Supplements uses a Crown SC 4500 Series counterbalance electric forklift for unloading containers, a RR 5700 Series reach truck for stock replenishment, and Crown hand pallet trucks for shifting pallets short distances.
The SC features a 48 volt power system and an 11.6 KW AC traction motor, which Crown says “supplies ample power, without strain, even in the toughest applications”.
For comfort, it also has widely adjustable steering column, plenty of room for entering and exiting the cab, and Corwn’s Intrinsic Stability System which helps operators keep smooth control.
As warehouse work often involves various lifting tasks, Superior Supplements’ RR fills the gap in terms of jobs the SC might not be suited to.
Additionally, it features Crown’s Access 1 2 3 Comprehensive System Control which provides easier control of faster fork speeds and height selection.
Both the RR and SC Series feature Crown-built AC drive motors for performance and longevity and e-GEN™ braking system for efficiency and reduced maintenance.
After growing from a one-man garage operation, the supplements company now moves over 10,000 kilograms of stock each week.
Operations manager Gus Strangis has previously worked for one of Australia’s biggest grocery retailers, and was given a good impression of Crown’s warehousing potential.
He says the practical equipment and up-to-date technology is a primary reason the company favours Crown products.
“A practical example is the rack assist with camera fitted to the RR.
“This means that our guys don’t get a sore neck and they can accurately place pallets in the racking – OHS is important to us at Superior Supplements.
