FoodTech Queensland is a new trade event for technology related to the food and beverage manufacturing sector taking place at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 26-28 June 2016.
The food manufacturing industry relies heavily on technology and innovative ideas. FoodTech Queensland aims to bring together food and beverage manufacturers with technology suppliers to provide networking and business opportunities for those in the industry.
With over 120 exhibitors on site, FoodTech Queensland will provide a showcase for the latest technological advancements in food production. A large number of exhibitors are showing plant and equipment related products such as air conditioning, safety equipment, waste solutions, lighting and flooring.
The expo will include seminars from experts on a wide range of subjects such as food production techniques, trends in food, energy efficiency in cooling and freezing, automated systems and the increasing demand for food traceability.
The 2016 Australian Institute of Food Sciences and Technology (AIFST) national convention will run concurrently with FoodTech Queensland at the same venue, giving attendees the chance to speak with Australia’s best food scientists. The convention will cover topics such as sustainability, improving food for the elderly, the changing regulatory environment and macro trends across the food industry.
Food export association Food Leaders Australia will also be holding a ticketed luncheon followed by a guided tour of the site on day two of the event, covering the topic ‘Grown today and flown tomorrow – Appealing to the international appetite’.
