The largest event of its kind, the Safety in Action event to be held in Melbourne on 15-17 September 2015 will bring together thousands of safety professionals from the manufacturing, engineering, transport, mining, government and corporate sectors for a comprehensive seminar program and expo with 200 exhibitors.
“Workplace health and safety is an issue of critical importance for all Australian workers,” says John Wilson, exhibition director at event organiser Informa Australia. “Each year hundreds of Australians die as a result of work related injuries and thousands are seriously injured. This event aims to break new ground on health and safety, and provide valuable information and support.”
The theme for the event is “Putting safety systems to action to drive change”, and the speakers will share the latest research, discuss regulatory compliance issues and showcase technological innovations to drive change.
They include David Clingin from Chemical Safety International, John Fell from Advanced Safety Systems Australia, Dr Paula Mitchell from Fatigue Management International and Marc McLaren of Generative HSE.
Taking place at the same time is the Safety Institute of Australia’s National Safety Conference, which will deliver an academically driven agenda outlining the need for change in systems and providing new directions to safety challenges. Click here for more information.
