Crown releases MPC 3000 lift truck

Crown Equipment has released the MPC 3000 series of lift trucks that it says combines the benefits of an order picker with those of a counterbalance forklift to save time and money.

The MPC 3000 has a high-lift, clear-view mast like that of an order picker combined with an outrigger-free counterbalance design making it not only suitable for order picking but also for replenishing low-level pick slots from high-level storage. Often those two tasks would require the use of separate reach and high-lift trucks.

“With the MPC 3000, Crown has delivered a state-of-the-art machine capable of performing multiple warehousing tasks such as order-picking and sandwich-stacking multiple pallets while reducing the amount of equipment required,” Crown product engineering and support manager Michael Croxford says.

Powered by a Crown AC traction motor, the truck can achieve a maximum speed of 12.5km/h and can lift 1200kg to a height of 4.3 metres. The MPC 3000 automatically adjusts cornering speed based on the steer wheel angle, fork height and load weight to ensure stability and operator safety. Safety is further enhanced by the machine’s suspended, shock-absorbing floorboard and heavy-duty load wheels.

Crown says the lack of outriggers allows the machine to be used in confined spaces and the nested I-beam mast construction provides an almost unobstructed view both forwards and upwards. The ride-on platform has also been ergonomically designed, with lift/lower buttons located on the backrest to provide operators with even more visibility options.

“With its ergonomic refinement, reliability, durability and operator safety features expected of Crown equipment, the MPC 3000 is capable of reducing operating costs and saving time in a number of applications,” Croxford says.

The lift truck also features a range of additions that have become standard on Crown equipment such as the Access 123 system, e-GEN braking system and electronic steering.
