The SC6000 series features three and four-wheel models with capacities of up to two tonnes and lift heights of up to 7.5 metres.

Crown says its four-wheel models feature a Crown-developed four-wheel steering system providing a turning radius and maneuvrability that rivals three-wheeled versions.

The models have been put through rigorous long-term in-house testing and field trials to ensure its performance and reliability.

Ergonomics

Crown has incorporated its proven ergonomics into the SC 6000 series for operator comfort, control and work safety. It has a low step height of 375mm and ample head clearance to allow for easy cabin access.

Its overall design aims to give operators clear views in all directions and freedom of movement – even when fitted with optional soft or hard cabins.

Crown has also installed newly developed fingertip control levers on the new range for easy and precise control of the machines.

To ensure operators drive with confidence, Crown has incorporated a number of safety features on the SC 6000 series.

This includes a nested I-beam mast that minimises longitudinal, lateral and torsional flexibility; automatically activated handbrake and ramp hold function; and a patented Access 1 2 3 technology that provides customers with real time on-board diagnostics.

In addition, customers also have access to an intelligent on-board control system which ensures the lift trucks maintain constant speed on ramps and automatically adjusts the operation of control functions in correspondence to different load weights, lift heights, steering angles and travel speeds.

Structure

Crown says its new range have been built for durability, featuring a solid design with robust chassis and full-length, solid floor plate beneath the battery.

The SC 6000 series is powered by in-house designed and manufactured heat resistant H-class drive motors which Crown claims have the highest thermal ratings in the industry.

The lift trucks’ steer axles feature oversized steel/cast-iron construction and heavy-duty tapered roller bearings which enable the trucks to withstand jolts as they travel over rough surfaces and dock boards.

Crown says its long-life real-axle steering system has been tested for thousands of hours.

Crown general manager of marketing Craig Kenchington says the new range does much more than complete Crown’s lift truck line-up.

“The new SC 6000 series not only helps us to bring a more complete product line-up to our customer, it demonstrates the international research, development and design capabilities of Crown hat help us to deliver superior products,” he says.
