World’s largest 3D printing expo coming to Sydney

Visitors to this year's National Manufacturing Week in Sydney will be able to get an in-depth look into the world of 3D printing with the co-location of the "Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo".

MecklerMedia’s Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo, which is claimed to be the world’s biggest professional 3D printing and additive manufacturing event will be held alongside this year’s National Manufacturing Week in Sydney.

National Manufacturing Week (NMW), organised by Reed Exhibitions is one of Australia’s leading manufacturing industry events and is scheduled to be held at the Sydney Showground from May 11 to 13.

The Inside 3D printing event is held in over 10 countries around the world each year, showcasing the latest in 3D printing technology and its applications in a growing list of industries including manufacturing, medicine, architecture, aerospace and more.

MecklerMedia Asia-Pacific managing director Christoph Rowen says NMW is a natural fit for its annual event in Australia.

“NMW’s Additive Manufacturing Zone – which showcases processes for building up components – is the logical ‘home’ for Inside 3D Printing exhibitors, while Inside 3D Printing conference delegates will see added value in the opportunity to visit NMW 2016’s comprehensive exhibition,” he says.

Reed Exhibitions Australia executive director John Gorton says the organisation is delighted to partner up with Mecklermedia to co-locate NMW 2016 with the Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo.

“Inside 3D Printing is a world-leading event for a game-changing area of technology.,” he says.

“As it evolves, 3D printing technology is transforming almost every major industry: especially manufacturing, where it is already beginning to disrupt existing processes and open up exciting new opportunities for industry.”

He adds by co-locating NMSW 2016 with Inside 3D Printing, visitors will get better access to the technologies, strategies and opportunities associated with additive manufacturing.

“We are confident this expanded offering will maximise the value of participation in NMW 2016 for exhibitors, sponsors, conference delegates and trade visitors.”
